"Cllr. Carlton-Romanov, as Councillor for Vayinaod, and author on the very condemnation resolution you are referencing, I take great offense to your accusations. The condemnation refers specifically to Military trade agreements are null, voided, and henceforth banned, as well as an embargo on luxury goods. Vayinaod has not broken EU law in regards to this condemnation, and I believe you should take back that statement officially.

Speaking with Communists, or committing even basic trade is not illegal under EU Law. Exchange of money or goods for military technology, defense, or other military trade areas is illegal. Whether the EU is active in its role as a prosecutor in this front remains to be debated.

The Archrepublic of Vayinaod condemns any form of violence from any side as a way to solve disputes, and believes that only pragmatic in-person discussions by both sides may resolve the issue."

        Mr Van Allen.

I will make the Fremetian position abundantly clear for you, the members of this council, and all of Europe: we will NOT risk nuclear war over your refusal to return a cheque. No amount of money is worth any life. We will not allow such a petty trade dispute to escalate into an all out war.

Quite frankly, your nation should never have entered into this agreement in the first place. This Council need not waste its time on a petty trade dispute that has been mishandled by the parties involved.

Fremet has been living with the realities of the UNSR and the constant threat of war (nuclear and otherwise) for nearly 80 years. I do not need to remind you the countless millions that lost their lives in the last occupation. I will not be lectured on what is at stake by a nation thousands of kilometers away from the front. I will not be lectured on the reality that 78 million Fremetians live with every single day.

I defer to the Councillor from Eastern Haane. Cool it.. and PAY!

I am sorry if you felt that I critiqued your government, Councillor Falk. It wasn't intended a a criticism. I support you and Kristian Nyuland's actions to end one of the conflicts in Reitzmag. But, in Section 1 it says that "The European Union shall only recognize the democratically elected government of the United Dominions of Icholasen under Queen Anastasia II and Prime Minister Eilidh Whiteford as the legitimate government of Icholasen." Negotiating with them, in my opinion, would go against that. I think that if the Reitzmic government sent them the money, they would also be against this. But what both your country's negotiations did do and what this payment would do were for the greater good.

My colleagues, I think we should have a vote. Should the Kingdom of Reitzmag return the money to the illegitimate communist government in Icholasen and risk disobeying European Law.

              Mr Van Allen,

If you want to propose an official statement by the European Council, I suggest that you propose it as such through established channels. Quite frankly, it is not the place of the European Council to offer such non-binding recommendations to individual governments. While I appreciate your interest in hearing the thoughts of this Council, this is an informed decision that the Reitzmic government must make itself.

                Mr. Van Allen,

While it is the commitment of our country to remain neutral on all matters as such, the UNSR is our neighbor. Hence I shall comment on this particular issue:

I suggest your government Mr. Allen makes an important decision-- quickly: weather they want to risk a nuclear war in Europe, or overcome its pride and come to a peaceful resolution with the UNSR. This isn't a matter of breaking European law, this is a matter of your country's pride. All I can say is I am disappointed with the developments happening in Hampton City.

"What we are seeing here is an extremely delicate situation", Cllr Sir Augustus Barrington began, all too well aware that Inimicus, too, had not been innocent of aggression and had not been shy to grab arms swiftly in the past, "On the one hand, I do not think any of the Councillors who have so far contributed to this debate approve of the actions of this so-called UNSR government (barring, perhaps, one or two) and would want to see it brought down, and the true Nicolezian government restored. As Cllr Carlton-Romanov said, and with which I fully agree, it would be unwise to act rashly in this regard, and perhaps dialogue with the communists is one of the ways in which we can, ultimately, restore proper order to Icholasen. Inimicus would, naturally, offer whatever support we can to the true government of Icholasen, be it through diplomatic or military means. On the other hand, even so much as negotiating with this socialist regime adds credence and legitimacy to its dominion over the Nicolezian islands, obviously not something the Inimician government, and the governments of most countries represented here, would find desirable.

Turning to Cllr Van Allen's slightly strange request, on holding a vote on whether the monies his government owes to the UNSR, legitimate or not, should actually be paid, I think this question is now irrelevant. Unless I'm reading the papers wrongly, Reitzmic PM Simon Bridges already announced the return of this cash. This is absolutely not a matter for the EU council to decide, and although I would welcome a broader discussion on the topic of the UNSR, and, indeed, the recent coup in Neo-Venetia, which is currently threatening the southwestern border of the Empire I represent, this is, I feel, not the right way in which to hold said discussion.

Owing money to communists is unwise. Owing money to communists with no political legitimacy is arguably even more unwise. The Imperial Government therefore condemns the actions of the Reitzmic government and is happy to see the situation, at least somewhat, resolved. Launching ICBMs into space as a threat, however, is definitely more outrageous, and the Imperial Government stands ready to intervene in this dispute if and when the issue threatens to spiral out of control and threaten our national sovereignty and safety."

Mr. Barrington, I think you are already late. And yes, PM Simon Bridges already announced that they have decided to return the money. And it is also true that I have called this discussion under his requests a while ago and proposed a council vote to reflect what the council advised way before you have spoken here.

I am very much disappointed that you are condemning the actions of my home country's government despite efforts to prevent loss of life. They had risked disobedience of European law to avoid any further conflict with the said illegitimate government.

Spain, even though we don't have the best relationship with Reitzmag, condemns this attack. But, I must also say this is Reitzmag's fault also. Let me explain. Reitzmag negotiated with the UNSR back in the past, when they had their Communist Revolution. That's, for your information, illegal. Then, the UNSR threads them, which ends on returning that money, which is illegal but taking it to the European Court of Justice would be stupid as yiu are trying to stoo those threads. Anyway, this wouldn't have taken place if Reitzmag would have negotiated with their Communists at first, just after the War started, so you would have avoided the Inquistan bombing and the UNSR taking part in the conflict. As I said, I condemn this and also the Kingdom of Spain does. But I think this could have been avoided.

I am sorry Mr. Tusk, but I think you have not properly outlined the events. First of all, there was no agreement between the Kingdom of Reitzmag and what was to be the UNSR before the failed communist uprising last February or so. The only agreement that happened was after the bombing and after the revolution was stopped. And the agreement happened before the motion titled Condemnation of the Coup in Icholasen was enacted. Nothing illegal happened and it was a do or die decision for PM Simon Bridges. Threats were heavy but I praise him for his actions to save the lives of millions of Europeans by preventing the spark of a nuclear war.

Sadly for you Councillor van Allen that's not true. The Condemnation was passed on the 23rd March, and 3 days later, on the 26th March, that Treaty with the UNSR was signed. Also this was the agreement I was refearing to. This means Reitzmag broke the law and then had some luck. As I said, it's stupid to take the return to the ECoJ, but not the Treaty signature. In conclusion, Reitzmag broke the law, but also got threatened. Complex situation we are at now.

I agree to your statements Mr. Tusk, I must've been looking at the wrong timeline.

Then Coun. van Allen began pretending to go through his papers and laughs a bit

My mistake, but I do agree that this situation is very unusual.
