Welcome to the new European Union forums!

I'm glad to announce that these new forums are now open. We have had to archive the old forums and create these new ones as a result of the Russian bot attack last year. I'd like to pay particular thanks to @Miraco for his hard work in investigating and rebuilding our forums.

Unfortunately, as all of us on the admin team have jobs and other real-life commitments, this has been a longer process than we would have liked, and there are still some teething issues that we'll be sorting out in the coming days and weeks (see below). However, it's clear that there was popular demand for the forums to be relaunched ASAP, and so you're more than welcome to post while we sort these remaining issues out.

The issues are:

You currently won't be able to upload an avatar.
The links to the archive in the top bar and in the EU History and Old Forums thread don't work at the moment. Follow this link instead to reach the archive for now.

Obviously, if you encounter any other issues, or have any questions, queries, or comments about the new forums, don't hesitate to let us know in this thread.

Just some things I noticed right now:

You can't upload any image via your computer. You CAN however link images and they will display fine.

The options for editing text are very limited as of now. No option to make bigger fonts or styles beyond bold and italicised.

The bullets feature doesn't automatically create a list of bullets. You will have to manually go in and do it yourself.

No table feature.

However, thank you for all the work you did @Angleter and @Miraco in getting this up and running!

Any guidelines on how to do the image uploading? I'm trying to upload it via link, but it won't actually pop up and i don't know if I'm doing something wrong or not

It should work via link. Make sure you put the url all the way in the parenthesis in this:

I’m still experiencing a strange problem.
I can connect to the forum -as I’m doing now- on my tablet. But every time I try to connect through PC, I receive a message of “connection lost”. I can read posts, but I am not able to upload posts.
The tablet and PC are on the same wi-fi network, so it can’t be the router. I thought it could be the antivirus-internet security software (Bullguard), so I tried to connect on an old PC which has a different internet security-antivirus software than the main one.... with the same result. Message of “lost connection” and can’t post.
I’m flabbergasted. Does anyone have the same issue?
